OLIVIA-ANNE, an independent, high quality ladies fashion shop, is situated in a prime position on the High Street of Garstang, a picturesque medieval market town.
Standing on the River Wyre, Garstang is half way between Preston and Lancaster and is the gateway to the Trough of Bowland, an area of outstanding Natural Beauty. Although a small town with a population of approx 5000, Garstang has become famous due to it being recognised as the World's first Fairtrade Town, and also for its many successes in the "Britain in Bloom" competitions. As summer approaches, the area becomes a riot of colour with hanging baskets, flower beds and window displays to welcome our visitors.
Since the 14th century, Garstang has had a weekly market held on Thursdays, when stalls line the entire length of the High Street to sell their various wares drawing in visitors from across the region.
Renowned for friendliness, Garsting is an ideal place to break a journey on the way North or South on the M6 - it is situated between junctions 32 and 33, and would add very few miles to your journey and make a relaxing break.
